Wadi al-Disah

£1,100.00

Nicole Forrester, Saudi Arabia, 2026

Wadi al-Disah in Tabuk is a 15 kilometre, desert gorge with towering red sandstone cliffs which have been wind-carved over time, creating spectacular sculptures of pillars and columns. ‘Al-Disah’ translates to ‘valley of palm trees’. Fresh water streams and rivers flow through the canyon and extensive groves of palms and mango trees thrive, creating a vivid contrast of greens against the rock background. I hiked up a section of the canyon in the afternoon and found a wide ledge to safely walk around, admiring the panoramic views. As evening drew nearer, the golden hour arrived, painting nature’s master pieces in vibrant hues with light and shadows.

Medium/Process: Archival Pigment-based inks, 12 Colour Giclee system, Canvas, Frame : Floating Black

Dimensions: 60” x 40” (152.4cm x 101.6cm)

Edition: 1 of 5 Canvas Framed
