Old Maasai

£600.00

Nicole Forrester, Kenya, 2026

Old Maasai men hold the highest respect within a Maasai community. They are honoured for their wisdom and leadership. We saw this old man walking along the dirt road in the Chyulu Hills area and offered him a lift back to his village. A few days later we saw him near the market, sitting on a fallen tree whilst sanding down some knobkerries that he makes. Knobkerries are traditional, hand-carved, wooden clubs with a heavy spherical knob at one end.

Medium/Process: Giclee, Paper: Hahnemühle Photo Rag, Frame: Oak - Thin, Glass: Museum, Mount: Off-White,

Dimensions: 33.1” x 22.1” (84cm x 56cm)

Edition: 1 of 50 Framed
