The eye of this watchful matriarch is lit up by the evening light. Thick lashes usually conceal elephant eyes, which are remarkably small for such large animals. Their eyes are about the same size as a human eye, but they have a third eyelid which is a membrane that sweeps across the eyeball to clean and moisturised it. This is especially useful when bathing or in dusty environments.
Medium/Process: Giclee, Paper: Ilford Cotton Textured, Archival mounting, Substrate: Dibond, Subframe
Dimensions: 15.7” x 23.6” (40cm x 60cm)
Edition: 1 of 50
