Watching the ghost crabs scuttling along the beach in Yanbu kept me entertained for quite a while. They are semi-terrestrial crabs and either disappear down their hole in the sand or head back into the sea when they sense danger. Ghost crabs have the ability to change their colour to match their surroundings in order to be less visible to predators.
